Wai Manawa Whenua - Submission:

Wai Manawa Whenua is a collective of Māori landowners, hapū, and iwi who have taken a case to the High Court to hold the Crown accountable for its failure to fulfil assurances made to uphold Māori rights and responsibilities to freshwater.

We’re collecting stories from whānau and communities across Aotearoa whose lives, whenua (lands), and wai (waterways) have been directly affected by freshwater issues — such as pollution, loss of access, degradation of local rivers or springs, or the impacts of Crown decision-making.

With your permission, it may be used to raise awareness through communications like social media, websites, reports, or presentations.
