Of Ngāti Kahungunu, Kurakura Kai Tahi, Kati Mamoe, Waitaha and Hawea descent, Te Horipo has over 30 years of experience in a wide range of senior management, Chief Executive and governance roles in the Māori, community, private and public sectors. This has spanned several industries including dairy, mixed livestock, forestry, tourism, education, seafood, investments, horticulture, technology and economic development.
The primary purpose of this role is to stimulate innovation and introduce new ideas to the FOMA network. With the establishment of strategic priorities for FOMA in relation to science and innovation.

Heni is a research scientist with FOMA Innovation identifying opportunities, understanding collective research needs and connecting FOMA members to Aotearoa’s research, science and innovation sector. She is passionate about creating opportunities for rangatahi in STEM and ensuring her projects support Māori communities.
