The 2025 FOMA Business Summit, held on April 3–4 at The Narrows Landing in Hamilton, brought together Māori leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators for two days of powerful kōrero, strategic insights, and whakawhanaungatanga.
With the theme of “He Waka Eke Noa – Navigating Forward Together,” the sold-out summit delivered a packed programme featuring influential speakers from across the motu. Attendees heard from government ministers, business leaders, economists, legal experts, and change-makers who shared their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges ahead for Māori enterprise.
Highlights included keynote addresses by Hon Nanaia Mahuta, Hon Shane Jones, and Hon Tama Potaka, as well as inspiring sessions with Dame Jenny Shipley, Dame Ingrid Collins, Traci Houpapa MNZM JP, and many others. Topics ranged from economic development and climate resilience to governance, innovation, and the future of Māori-led enterprises.
FOMA extends its heartfelt thanks to all our speakers, sponsors, and delegates who made the 2025 Summit an outstanding success. We look forward to continuing this momentum as we chart a course for a thriving future for Māori landowners and whānau Māori.
