FOMA Emerging Leadership Programme
"Nurturing the Next Generation of Māori Leaders"
Ruia Te Pākerekere is FOMA’s inaugural next-generation leadership wānanga designed to recognise, activate and encourage emerging Māori leaders as contributors to Aotearoa’s Māori economy. This includes the involvement of 11 Young representatives from each rohe around Aotearoa.
This initiative creates a structured pathway for Māori leaders to learn alongside experienced governors, trustees, landowners, and business leaders. Rather than a classroom-based model, Ruia Te Pākerekere Kahikatea is grounded in relationships, sector exposure, and participation in real leadership environments.
